I am truly thankful to everyone who has been watching the show and now we have a Blog - “Eve's
Orbit ”. "Eve's Orbit" can be seen on Time Warner Cable TV Access - Channel 21 in Charlotte, North Carolina every First (1st) and Third (3rd) Saturday of the month at 7:00 pm.
We are proud to celebrate our soon to be third year on the air. Still
airing on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month due to scheduling issues at
the station, but we are working on trying to go to a weekly format and
continue within the same time frame.
The
internet traffic is great and I am proud to have as many viewers of the site
and show as we currently have. It is amazing since we do not advertise
and the limited budget we have for producing such a great quality show.
I can only hope that the future will lead to bigger and better things.
I promise - class, entertainment that you will find refreshing. If you want to share your comments or suggestions, you may email me or use the Blog
http://evesorbit.com to tell us.
Do not expect your posting to be posted, as we have been having problems
with porno spam getting hold of our site, we had to take it down once, and
rebuilt it but they found us again. So we will be using this blog only for
posting who will be on the shows. We also will have a calendar which
will have events planned, locations etc. You can email us at the

My name is Eve Evans and
I am the Executive Producer, Director, Host and Editor of "Eve's Orbit".
I want to
introduce my Technical Director - Dan Honeycutt, who's friendship and support is priceless. Special thanks to Betty Barnette and Stan Jacques for their talent and participation in the show. I also want to thank
Barbara Pinner for her precious friendship, support and help. Thanks to Bob Davis my very best friend and partner in life who's support is un-measurable. Many thanks to the
special volunteers who have help to make the show such a success. I
want to thank each of you and the credits from each show does just that.
We have a sister show called "N-Orbit". How did that come to be?
It was a program issue. I tried to get a weekly spot during sign-up
week, when I knew that the other two weeks had opened up. So on sign up
week, I was told that I would not have the same time spot if I went to a
weekly format because the other weeks had been taken. That really
was
not fair since I had been there longer and the sign up week was not over -
the other person was a first time Producer. Now with
sign up week knowing that the spot had already been given away, my hopes of
having a weekly
show as everyone has requested, would have to wait. This
new guy has promised not to let go of my spot so, Robert Davis
came to my aid and offered to Produce a show with me as Host we call it
"N-Orbit", it would be a sister show of "Eve's Orbit".
Funny how things work out,
the second show actually works out for us since we get to show thing s
on his show that I would never show on mine. Such as JEANS, southern
rock and other things I
wouldn't
think to show on "Eve's Orbit" . I say no to Jeans on Stage and TV
performances unless you are a young rock group with metal coming out of your
ears and head, then who cares, after all who will notice the bad clothing?
I believe that a performer is there to entertain you and impressions are
given by the clothes you wear, the markings you bear or the do of your hair,
while many don't care, I do. That is why I do not allow jeans on my
show, I grew up wanting to dress up like the 20's, 30's, 40's and even 50's
Hollywood era when dress up was fun and very impressive. What do you
think? The new show is a hit as much as Eve's Orbit, so we are taking it
from a once a month show to a bi-monthly show. With both shows going,
we will be able to get more footage out to our fans and we do have plenty of
great footage to share with you in the coming days ahead, so "Don't Touch
that Dial".
My warmest felt thanks to Maurice Williams and the
Zodiacs, Billy Scott, Clifford Curry, Cesar, Clay Brown and my other talented friends who have been so gracious as to allow me to bring you their wonderful talents each week that we air, for it is an honor for me. I could not have achieved my dreams without the support of my family and friends.
If you tuned in to the show on
any given show, you will have the pleasure to enjoy the talent of
Billy Scott.
Billy is a permanent fixture on our show, yes he is an
Associate Producer, Co-Host and entertainer.
We want to keep it that way. So you have to
stay tuned to find out what is going on. Billy knows everyone in the
business and has performed with many of the all time great legend.
Viewers are requesting to know more about Billy and we will deliver.
So stay tuned and don't touch that dial!
We
have a segment called Alternatives: One
of our special guest is
Doctor
Omar Danner, a Bariatric Surgeon and Weight Loss Specialist. We
discuss ways to shed the pounds and many shocking facts about weight gain.
These sessions have been life changing for many. We are already
getting claims from fans, who tell us that these sessions have turned them
around. Many have gone to loose weight and others have elected to seek
further help from our Critical Care Expert.
Special
Guest: You wrote to us asking about this fantastic performer.
"Tell us more!" Cesar is a ball of energy who lights up any stage with
his performance and personality. He pulls out his harmonica from his
special designed belt and lets go. He dances across the stage and
excites everyone who sees him.
We have several upcoming Country Stars as far as we can
tell. One such artist is
TJ Black.
TJ writes many of his tunes and has a delightful stage presence. It is
a joy to hear him sing and to watch him. His style reminds me a bit
like Roy Clark when he sings, yet he is unique and there is no other like
him.
Watch out for this one. Girls you have been writing
about this hunky young man who has a voice deep, rich and
smooth
as milk. He has the talent and the good looks. So he is only a
teenager, but give him a few more years, he is bound to go far. He has
recently cut those long locks to join the football team at his high school.
He is adorable either way and such a talent. His grandfather was one
of the original Beach Music band greats "The Shakers" remember them?
They are planning some duet in the future. I can't wait. We have
plans for a CD for this young hopeful with writers ready to deliver songs
that will pull your heart strings.
The feedback we get from the show, is always appreciated. This is "Eve's Orbit" second
year going into the third year on the air, and people are talking. Just from the feedback we have been receiving, it appears that we have been received very well. So thanks to all of you fans out there in TV Land. We will keep the quality of entertainment up and all I ask is for you to keep those letters coming, as I appreciate your input and thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. It is though your suggestions, comments
and praise that help let us know that we are doing something right or how to
make it better.
SPECIAL FAREWELLS
This
year we lost a very special friend and neighbor to Maurice Williams who was
known and loved by so many. He had promised to come on the show "Eve's
Orbit" for an interview. Unfortunately his health was bad and we never
got to film him. He was waiting for a kidney and I don't know if he
ever did receive it. Our hearts go out to his surviving family and we
shall remember him always in our hearts as he brought years of joy to so
many. God Bless You - Rocking Ray Gooding!
Also this year we lost another great performer - Bill Pickney from the
original Drifters "Under the Boardwalk" fame. We we
pay
tribute to him and will have one of our favorite singers perform "Under the
Boardwalk" in honor of Bill Pickney. He fought along side Maurice
Williams, Billy Scott and others to save Beach Music and have it taught in
schools like other forms of music. Beach Music as we like to call it
is really just R&B. Thanks to pioneers like Maurice Williams and Bill
Pickney, Billy Scott, Cesar and others, we can expect to enjoy this timeless
music for years to come.
