I am truly thankful to everyone who has been watching the show and now we have a Blog - “Eve's
Orbit ”. "Eve's Orbit" can be seen on Time Warner Cable TV Access - Channel 21 in Charlotte, North Carolina every First (1st) and Third (3rd) Saturday of the month at 7:00 pm.
We are proud to celebrate our soon to be third year on the air. Still
airing on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month due to scheduling issues at
the station, but we are working on trying to go to a weekly format and
continue within the same time frame.
The
internet traffic is great and I am proud to have as many viewers of the site
and show as we currently have. It is amazing since we do not advertise
and the limited budget we have for producing such a great quality show.
I can only hope that the future will lead to bigger and better things.
I promise - class, entertainment that you will find refreshing. If you want to share your comments or suggestions, you may email me or use the Blog http://evesorbit.com to tell us.
Do not expect your posting to be posted, as we have been having problems
with porno spam getting hold of our site, we had to take it down once, and
rebuilt it but they found us again. So we will be using this Blog only for
posting who will be on the shows. We also will have a calendar which
will have events planned, locations etc. You can email us at the

My name is Eve Evans and
I am the Executive Producer, Director, Host and Editor of "Eve's Orbit".
I want to
introduce my Technical Director - Dan Honeycutt, who's friendship and support is priceless. Special thanks to Betty Barnette and Stan Jacques for their talent and participation in the show. I also want to thank
Barbara Pinner for her precious friendship, support and help. Thanks to Bob Davis my very best friend and partner in life who's support is un-measurable
and patients with me is truly heavenly. Many thanks to the
special volunteers who have help to make the show such a success. I
want to thank each of you and the credits from each show does just that.
We have a sister show called "N-Orbit". How did that come to be?
It was a program issue. I tried to get a weekly spot during sign-up
week, when I knew that the other two weeks had opened up. So on sign up
week, I was told that I would not have the same time spot if I went to a
weekly format because the other weeks had been taken. That really
was
not fair since I had been there longer and the sign up week was not over -
the other person was a first time Producer and a Man to boot. Now with
sign up week knowing that the spot had already been given away, my hopes of
having a weekly
show as everyone has requested, would have to wait. I don't see this
new guy letting go of my spot so, Robert Davis
came to my aid and offered to Produce a show with me as Host we call it
"N-Orbit", it would be a sister show of "Eve's Orbit".
"N-Orbit" has been received well, and we have had demand
for more, so we have taken it to twice a month. The new air dates are
weekly at 10:00 pm Friday nights. Yes, just what you had hoped for, we
have gone weekly. So keep tuning in and unwind to some fantastic tunes coming your way from local and legendary
recording artist. We have plenty in store and not enough time to show
it all. So you will have to stay tune to see what we have going on for
your enjoyment.
With both shows going, we will be able to get more footage out to our fans
and we do have plenty of great footage to share with you in the coming days
ahead, so "Don't Touch that Dial".
If you have been watching the show, you had to have seen my interview with
Clay Brown. It was truly an honor to have him grace my stage.
His voice is deep and rich and reaches down to your soul and makes you want
to turn back time. Clay is from Florence, SC and visited us to share
his latest recording hit called "Old School". Such a melodic delivery
has not been made since Nate King Cole. His smile is contagious and he
will take you in with his style and grace. Clay has agreed to come
back and perform for us many more times in the future and I do plan to talk
to him again. If you missed the interview or show and want to know how
to see this footage if you are not in our viewing area. Please do
write to us and let us know.
If you tuned in to the show on
any given show, you will have the pleasure to enjoy the talent of Billy Scott.
Billy is a permanent fixture on our show, yes he is an
Associate Producer and performer.
We want to keep it that way. So you have to
stay tuned to find out what is going on. Billy knows everyone in the
business and has performed with many of the all time great legend.
Viewers are requesting to know more about Billy and we will deliver.
So stay tuned and don't touch that dial!
The feedback we get from the show, is always appreciated. This is "Eve's Orbit" second
year going into the third year on the air, and people are talking. Just from the feedback we have been receiving, it appears that we have been received very well. So thanks to all of you fans out there in TV Land. We will keep the quality of entertainment up and all I ask is for you to keep those letters coming, as I appreciate your input and thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. It is though your suggestions, comments
and praise that help let us know that we are doing something right or how to
make it better.
2007 SPECIAL
FAREWELLS
This
year we lost a very special friend and neighbor to Maurice Williams who was
known and loved by so many. He had promised to come on the show "Eve's
Orbit" for an interview. Unfortunately his health was bad and we never
got to film him. He was waiting for a kidney and I don't know if he
ever did receive it. Our hearts go out to his surviving family and we
shall remember him always in our hearts as he brought years of joy to so
many. God Bless You - Rocking Ray Gooding!
Also this year we lost another great performer - Bill Pickney
from the original Drifters "Under the Boardwalk" fame.
We pay
tribute to him and will have one of our favorite singers perform "Under the
Boardwalk" in honor of Bill Pickney. He fought along side Maurice
Williams, Billy Scott and others to save Beach Music and have it taught in
schools like other forms of music. Beach Music as we like to call it
is really just R&B. Thanks to pioneers like Maurice Williams, Bill Pickney, Billy Scott,
Donald Cesar, Clay Brown and the many other great performers who have made
such a wonderful contribution to our lives. We thank them for paving
the way leaving us some of the best music ever known. We can expect to enjoy this timeless
music for years to come.
We say farewell to Maurice Williams closest
friends and partner a 40 year Zodiac veteran. The
saxophone-playing
band director - Calvin McKinnie, Jr met his maker and is playing in God's
Orchestra now. My heart goes out to Maurice and to all who knew
Calvin, for he was truly such a wonderful man and a precious friend.
Goodbye Leamon Ingalls Jr. For the better part of 2007 my
father had been sick. He told me on several occasions that he was
dieing. He only had one artery supplying blood to his heart. He
had spent the last 6 months in and out of the hospital trying to get better
so that he could gain quality of life again. It was a very trying time
for him and
those
that loved him. We tried to bring as much comfort to him as we could
but we could not stop God's calling. It was some of the hardest days
of my life that last week with daddy, but I would not trade the moments for
anything. We stayed by his bedside morning noon and night as he lie in
a coma the final four days. We sang to him and even did silly songs
that seemed to bring out a small smile.
Our faith was tested and our hearts. We stood fast
and continued to send our prayers to Jesus as we knew our Father wanted.
He was in his last days unable to speak but he could hear us and at times
tears would stream down his face when we would sing to him or cry over him.
He was a brilliant man and found Jesus and now is in the arm of our Lord.
I miss you Daddy and will see you when my journey here is done. Please
save a dance for me.
